Findings from survey conducted by Springboard, an online mentoring and upskilling platform are as follows. The respondents consisted of 500+ professionals with experience ranging from entry level (44%) to director level (2.1%).
- 62.7% prefer an upskilling program that give access to a mentor.
- 87.9% think access to mentor will boost their career success.
- 79.4% feel transitioning to a new industry can be done easily with help of a mentor.
- 41.9% chose 'Need of a mentor' when asked what is the main challenge they face.
- 46.4% are unable to find a mentor.
- 69.4% feel reskilling is closely linked to career growth.
- 79% are willing to take up a reskilling program that gives them access to 1:1 mentor.
