Description ✍🏼
- It’s a turn-based RPG NFT game, with play-to-earn mechanics
- It’s a battle between the heroes, summoned by the Summoners Book Collection (an NFT collection with almost 10k supply), and monsters. This battle earns players in-game currencies, qualifies them for airdrops, and more
- The currency / rewards earned can be publicly traded on the blockchain
Team 👷🏼♂️
- Developed by a team based in Japan named T2WEB
- The team has had extensive experience building dApps, building almost 20+ apps in the last 3 years itself
- Other than this not much is known about the team
Funding & Support 💲
- Prominent ecosystem players support them, including Opensea, OASYS, Avalanche, among others
- They’ve partnered with MCH Verse and OASYS to launch the game
Core Product Details & Experience ⚒️
- It’s a game where players earn rewards and items by battling monsters with summoned heroes in a turn-based strategy game.
- Each hero has unique attributes and types, affecting their performance in battles against different elemental monsters.
- Players can better their heroes and their chances of winning through in-game enhancements and collecting valuable items.
- The game features a marketplace where players can trade heroes and items, making it a transparent process
- Battles are meant to be strategic, requiring players to choose actions like attacking, using special moves, or defending based on the enemy's actions and stats.
- Rare monsters provide challenging encounters and the opportunity for higher rewards, including a special jackpot for defeating them.
They aim to address and solve these four major problems:
→ Problem 1: Limited Use of Multiple NFTs
- It’s a turn-based RPG featuring NFT heroes and monsters, engaging players in strategic battles to earn in-game currencies.
- By leveraging elemental types and the soul mining system, it diversifies gameplay, requiring a variety of heroes to be leveled up for efficient play and soul acquisition.
→ Problem 2: NFT Inflation
- To combat NFT inflation, hero lifespans, injuries, and cooldown periods post-minting ensure a balanced ecosystem
- This encourages strategic use of utility tokens for recovery and maintaining the NFT supply
→ Problem 3: Excessive Earnings and Selling Pressure
- Daily earnings will be capped based on the utility token's dollar value, with excess rewards locked, addressing oversupply and stabilizing the in-game economy.
→ Problem 4: Impact of Traders on the Token Ecosystem
- An Anti-Trader Field mechanism will be introduced to restrict the token trading to genuine players, ensuring that speculative trading is not done preserving the game's play-to-earn integrity.
Community curation & engagement 🌐
- The curation has just started right now and they recently opened up forms for collabs, will be interesting to look at how and which communities they end up partnering with
- They have a strict criteria offering WL spots to those who:
- hold 15+ summoner books from (gen1, gen2, gen3 combined)
- own a MCH verse pass (currently at 1.5eth floor)
Degen details 💰
- Supply: 1,111
- Price: FREE
- Chain: ETH
- Mint Date: TBA
Business Model 🤑
- They’ve made almost $4.85m via the sale of 9,950 NFTs from the Summoner's Books collection, all the money earned from this will be directly used to provide liquidity for:
- Initially $200k is locked for liquidity for β
- The biggest part is they are going to have a starting of $4.78m for providing the initial liquidity as a part of rewarding the players
Utility & Benefits 🚀
- It’ll be a utility pass for the complete CCP games ecosystem
- Some of the utilities might include getting airdrops, early access and more added benefits
Post mint details 🛣️
- The roadmap for CCP includes the following to be achieved in Q1 2024
Key details / What do we like? 🎯
- Free mints are always great, especially with a pretty low supply of 1,111
- CCP has already been able to make $4.85m from the sale of their summoners books, pretty impressive numbers
- The game is already in beta and is playable
What are we keeping an eye on? 👀
- Again, the exact utility about the premium pass is not really conveyed - more mysterious play
- They already minted out 3 different generations of summoner NFTs, so having one more additional collection on top of them will be challenging to balance the different utilities provided each of the holders
- Play-to-earn ecosystems are always tough to manage since in the initial phase the users are incentivised via rewards and airdrops to play, but it all boils down to the longer term future goals about how they’re able to create a sustained gameplay economy
Closing thoughts 💭
- Again, it being a free mint - it’s a pretty straight forward mint
- The team has been able to generate almost $5m from their previous NFT mints and have set a very strict criteria for getting the premium pass for the already existing NFT holders, so if we are getting in I believe it’s a good opportunity at a very low cost barrier
- I would like to keep an eye on where exactly does the premium pass fit into the ecosystem and how does the team look to use it’s capabilities
Again, these are just my individual thoughts and not any financial, legal, tax or any other form of advise. Please do your own research and invest accordingly!
